After tinkering with his own turntable at home and discovering that many needed parts were no longer available for purchase, Pat discovered a way to machine his own new, aftermarket pieces, parts, bits and chips to get his beloved turntable back into working condition. Pat soon learned that he was not the only vinyl afficionado facing the same dilemma, and founded his home workshop and eBay storefront, creating parts upon request and fixing every turntable he could find.
Today, Pat Leaver runs his Moorpark, CA workshop on three fundamental principles: happy customers, selling quality products and a strong dedication to the vinyl & turntable enthusiast community. He is often found on forums and blogs offering helpful advice to others while he continues to manage his storefront and offer hard-to-find repairs and restorations to local Angelenos.
Pat shares his work and knowledge through a blog and hopes to start a vlog series that will follow his latest and brightest projects and restorations. He also hopes to begin offering a variety of expanded turntable services that will make his dedication to the art of turntable restoration available to customers nationwide.
A native Californian, Pat originally hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University with post graduate work at Stanford. After 30 years in the financial industry in Southern California, Pat decided to strike out on his own and follow his passion: restoring and servicing vintage turntables.
